Which Cowork connectors to set up first
Connectors link Claude to the tools you already use, like Slack, Notion or HubSpot. Plugins work without them. But with the right two or three connected, Claude can pull from your real work instead of what you paste in.
You don't need to connect everything. Start with the list below.
The rule of three
- 1.Where your team talks. Slack or Microsoft 365. Slack works with 8 of the 11 official plugins, more than any other connector in our catalog.
- 2.Where your work lives. Your CRM, project tool or docs: HubSpot, Jira, Notion, Asana and so on.
- 3.One data source, later. Analytics or a data warehouse, once the first two are working.

Plugin Create (for building your own plugin) has no connectors on our list.
Three things to know before you connect
- You choose what to connect. Claude only reaches tools you authorize.
- It sees what you see. Claude can only access what your own account can access.
- You can skip and come back. Say no when a plugin asks, and add the connector later.
